I've written a story, and for once I really like it. I mean, it's no Shakespeare, or Danielle Steel, or Dean Koontz, but it's better than a lot of stuff I write IMHO. I plan to post it soon, but the rest of this week is kinda bonkers for me, so it may be this weekend.
For the one of you who's ever read my stuff before, this is in a new setting, with a whole new set of characters. Not Concord, not Lakeview University. This starts out in the (very real) town of Columbus, Georgia but spends the majority of the story in the fictional Kingsport, North Carolina.
(Why Kingsport? Because when I used a city-name generator, it was the one out of the 25 I liked ;)
I'm not even sure how to describe it. It's not a ghost story, not a love story. "Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles!" Well, about half of those.
Story revolves around some magicians (in my head, they're in their mid-20s or so) and it's called:
"The Girl in the Box"
